Marla, I wanted to say thank you again for a great extended weekend aboard Water Dragon.... Your knowledge & experience is amazing.  I wanted to highlight a couple things I really appreciated:

- Your energy & excitement for sailing is absolutely contagious

- You created a very collaborative & fun environment

- I really appreciated how you **always** had positive comments when people were learning something new

- Your relate what you were instructing to real life experiences

- You recognized & adapted to different learning styles and paces.

- In everything thing we did, you built up our confidence in our abilities & knowledge

- You kept it all very progressive in what we were learning & low stress/anxiety.

 Sailing with Tracy is a learning experience, action-packed vacation & relaxing respite - all in one. I took an advanced navigation course with her in the Gulf Islands along with three other beginning students. I learned so much; she tailored her lessons to everyone's skill set. She is a patient teacher that makes sure her students understand what they learn through course review and hands on, learn by doing experience. I felt very comfortable the whole week, as did my shipmates, even as she challenged us. Losing our dinghy while cruising the east end of Saltspring Island made for a real-life rescue, and Tracy led us through the process gracefully! At each day's end we chatted, enjoyed the chilly sunsets, and pitched in to make dinners. I hope to return to BC for one of her adventures in 2025. Highly recommend. 

 I did a 5 day beginner sailing course with Tracy and it was the most amazing experience on the water! I was not in the best place mentally so it was taking me a really long time to grasp some of the sailing lingo and concepts - Tracy explained every detail so incredibly well and she is one of the most patient, kind and understanding teachers I have ever had. I loved being on the water before but she really ignited my passion for the art of sailing! I can confidently say I am a competent crew member and can’t get enough of sailing whenever I can! I can’t wait to take another course with her! Highly recommend!!
