After 33 years as a teacher, Jack added his love of sailing to his love of teaching. Passing on his love of boating is a passion he has enjoyed as an instructor for the past 30 years.
Jack is a seasoned instructional skipper acquiring 50,000 miles of coastal & blue-water sailing since he began cruising the Salish Sea in 1984. He has cruised in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Bahamas & Mexico. His delivery passages include crossings of the Atlantic from Cape Town to Brazil, Maui to Victoria, the BVIs to Panama, the North Atlantic, & Southern England. Jack’s avid racing activities include many Swiftsure Races, the Van Isle 360 & racing on Galveston Bay.
Jack teaches Sail, Power & Catamaran at all levels & is an Instruction Skipper evaluator for CRYA up to the Yachtmaster Ocean level.
Andy brings more than 30 years of experience on monohulls & catamarans, including offshore deliveries on both the Pacific & Atlantic Oceans. He has instructed & cruised with friends throughout B.C., down the eastern seaboard of the US & the beautiful waters of the Caribbean & Mediterranean.
Andy has authored recreational boating manuals for CRYA & created instructor training tools. He enjoys teaching advanced courses on the west coast of Vancouver Island & in the Broughtons. He enjoys introducing new boaters to the joys of sailing & is an excellent instructor for cruisers hoping to set sail with their young families.
Andy teaches on sail, power & catamaran at all levels up to Yachtmaster & Celestial Navigation.
Edith shares more than 40 years of experience cruising & teaching in B.C., Bay of Fundy, Washington, Chile, Croatia & Patagonia. Her background includes extensive racing & race team coaching, including teams for the VanIsle360, Swiftsure & other local series.
Edith currently teaches for the Royal Canadian Navy RCN SAIL as the program's head instructor & program manager. She raised 2 sailors of her own & is a great resource for those seeking to sail with young families.
She is available for sailboat deliveries, race coaching & instruction at all levels up to Yachtmaster.
Marla brings more than 20 years of experience teaching, coaching, & leading flotillas in B.C., Washington State, Turkey, Corsica, Sardinia, Croatia, British Virgin Islands & the Sea of Cortez.
Marla has trained hundreds of boat owners & charter clients, specializing in catamarans & large monohulls. She focuses on creating "conscientious skippers" who create a happy & safe mindset for everyone aboard. Her experience includes authoring catamaran training manuals & is widely considered one of the top catamaran instructors in the region.
Marla is available for speaking engagements & to lead flotillas, deliveries, coaching for teams & new boat owners, & instruction at all levels on sail, power & catamaran.
Andre shares more than 20 years of sailing Canada's west coast. He and his wife recently returned to Canada after a family sabbatical on board their 1985 Stevens 47'S/V DeNovo. Together they explored the east & west coasts of Central America with their two children, Jasper and Mia.
Andre has authored recreational training materials & loves to share his passion for adventure, exploring our stunning coast & introducing newcomers to the sport. His experience cruising offshore with his own family makes him a great mentor to families who want to head out for a family sabbatical of their own.
Andre is available for deliveries and instruction on sail, power & catamaran.
Rob has been on the water most of his life - working as a dinghy instructor, race coach, delivery skipper, ocean sailor & cruising instructor. Alongside enjoying a long career as a school teacher & administrator, he is an experienced ocean educator with over 25 years leading youth training & marine science programs.
His experience includes cruising British Columbia, Thailand, the waters of the Caribbean, U.S. West Coast & Mediterranean.
Based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Rob is enthusiastic about all types of sailing & ocean literacy. He is a valuable instructor for those seeking to cruise with young families
Rob is certified by a variety of sailing organizations & is available for instruction on sail monohulls & catamaran.
Dave bring more than 30 years of experience teaching safe boating, boat handling & navigation includes thousands of offshore ocean miles under sail in various parts of the world. He teaches recreational boating on power, sail & catamaran up to 80’. And he holds commercial qualifications to skipper & carry passengers aboard sail & power yachts up to 150’.
He's authored instructional manuals for Coastal Skipper Intermediate/Advanced on power & sail & Yachtmaster Offshore & Ocean for CRYA. Dave mentors & instructs recreational instructors as an instructor evaluator for power & sail at all recreational levels up to Ocean (Sail) & Advanced Coastal Skipper (Power) for CRYA. And he teaches adult education courses on Coastal Navigation, Radar & Marine Weather.
He is available for deliveries & instruction on sail, power & catamaran of all sizes.
Paul is an experienced offshore sailor with more than 20 years of experience sailing the waters of B.C., Washington, Tasmania, New Zealand, the U.S. West Coast & the Sea of Cortez.
His experience includes managing sailing yachts up to 110', teaching as an instructor evaluator, & yacht deliveries. Paul focuses on creating competent skippers who understand how to make good decisions that keeps their vessels safe & their crews happy.
Paul is available for deliveries, to lead flotillas, coaching, & instruction at all levels up to Yachtmaster on sail, power, and catamaran of all sizes.
Tracy's sailing experience of more than 20 years includes offshore cruising & deliveries throughout B.C., Washington, the U.S. West Coast, Baja Peninsula, & South Florida.
Before founding Voyage Makers, she worked with hundreds of charter clients in the role of managing training & charter operations for two B.C. charter companies.
Tracy teaches sailing on vessels of all sizes, specializing in helping clients source cruising vessels & teaching coastal navigation & close-quarters vessel handling & docking. She focuses on creating confident skippers & crew capable of handling all conditions.
She is available for speaking engagements, consulting to those seeking new boats & planning offshore voyages, as well as deliveries & instruction on sailing monohulls up to 65'.
Henry shares more than 20 years of experience cruising throughout B.C.. Well-known among attendees of the Vancouver Boat Show, he often shares his intimate knowledge of the area's most beautiful anchorages, hiking trails, & waterfalls. He is frequently sought out to introduce newcomers to the Pacific Northwest.
Henry has owned several power boats, making him a sought after instructor for those seeking to buy their first boat. Get to know him a little better in this interview.

Mark shares more than 20 years of experience in the waters of coastal B.C., France, Washington, the U.K., Washington, the waters of the Caribbean & Mediterranean, & on the U.S. West Coast.
He currently serves as a coxswain (instructor) with RCMSAR (Royal Canadian Marine Search & Rescue) & teaches recreational clients on sail, power, & catamarans. He has owned several power & sail boats & enjoys cruising & racing.
He is available for deliveries, coaching, & instructing on sail, power & catamaran.
